On Tuesday, February 21, Dade County Sheriff’s Deputies patrolling the Head River-Menlo area made a traffic stop leading to the seizure of over 63 grams of methamphetamine and ending with two arrests:
- Daniel Lee McCurdy (45 of Chickamauga)
- Failure to Maintain Lane
- Load Dragging Roadway
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Cristal Ann Morrison (36 of Chickamauga)
- Warrant (Forgery)
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
Dade County Deputies were patrolling Highway 157 in the area of Head River, when an opposing truck almost struck the deputies head-on. After the deputies conducted a traffic stop, 63 grams of Methamphetamine was found inside the vehicle. The driver (McCurdy) was taken in to custody for the listed charges, and the passenger (Morrison) was taken in for a warrant and the listed charges. They are currently still housed at the Dade County Jail
