The Georgia State Patrol issued the flowing statement on the Fatality accident on Thursday (2-25-21)
The Georgia State Patrol Post 41 LaFayette was requested to investigate a single vehicle traffic accident on Interstate 59 near mile marker 4 in Dade County. The preliminary investigation shows that a RV was traveling north when the right front tire had a catastrophic failure causing the driver to loose control of the RV. The RV traveled off the roadway striking a guardrail and then overturned continuing down an embankment. The front female passenger was ejected and suffered fatal injuries. The driver and two other passengers were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
