Farm Aid's 35th anniversary concert Farm Aid 2020 will take place on September 26th as a virtual at-home festival, according to Jambase. Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, and John Mellencamp will once again headline the three-hour event, which starts at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on AXS TV and streamed via YouTube. Proceeds will benefit U.S. family farmers with $60 million raised since its inception in 1985.

The is Farm Aid's second all digital fundraiser with last April's At Home With Farm Aid special, proving the event's message still carried over successfully without a major outdoor event.

Farm Aid co-founder said in a statement, "This pandemic and so many other challenges have revealed how essential family farmers and ranchers are to the future of our planet. Farm Aid 2020 is going to give the whole country a chance to learn about the important work of farmers and how they’re contributing to our well-being, beyond bringing us good food."

Other artists set to perform on September 26th at Farm Aid 2020 are: Bonnie Raitt & Boz Scaggs, Brandi Carlile, Edie Brickell & Charlie Sexton, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, Jack Johnson, Black Pumas, Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, Jon Batiste, Kelsey Waldon, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff, Particle Kid, The Record Company, Valerie June, and The War & Treaty, with other more performers to be announced soon.

Farm Aid began in 1985 with the aim of providing assistance to poor and needy families in rural farming communities. John Mellencamp told us the success of the concert festival could be found in the fact that show is ever evolving: ["It is a continuous effort. I think that Willie has shown, and the organization has shown is that they're here for the long haul, and it's just not a media stunt of any kind, or a thing for a corporation to flex their muscles for a day."] SOUNDCUE (:13 OC: . . . for a day)
