Atlanta opened the series with a victory Thursday and enters Friday’s matchup with a 64-45 record, including an impressive 33-20 mark at home. The Braves continue to strengthen their position in the division race and will look to keep the momentum going as they seek another win before the weekend.
The Nationals come into the game at 55-55 overall and have been one of baseball’s better road teams this season with a 32-21 record away from home. Washington will be looking to even the series after dropping the opener.
