Community members will have an opportunity to help save lives while celebrating America’s 250th birthday during an upcoming blood drive at the Dade County Sheriff’s Office.

The blood drive, hosted in partnership with Blood Assurance, is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dade County Sheriff’s Office, located at 75 Case Avenue in Trenton.

The event is part of Blood Assurance’s “Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday by Saving Lives” campaign, which encourages residents to donate blood during the busy summer season when supplies are often in high demand.

As an added incentive, everyone who donates blood between June 29 and July 7 will receive a $40 e-gift card as a thank-you for helping maintain the region’s blood supply.

Blood donations are used every day to help patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatments, trauma care, and other medical emergencies. Organizers encourage eligible donors to take part in the drive and make a lifesaving impact in the community.

Those interested in donating are invited to stop by the Dade County Sheriff’s Office on June 30 between 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to participate in the community blood drive.
