Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Welding and Joining Technology Program Adjunct Instructor position at Dade County High School.
The part-time position will provide welding instruction to high school students participating in the dual enrollment program, helping prepare the next generation of skilled trades workers. The instructor will be required to work on campus from 8:00 a.m. until 11:10 a.m. each school day. The position does not include benefits.
According to the job posting, applicants should possess a certificate, diploma, or degree in Welding and Joining Technology or a related field, although significant industry experience and specialized training may also be considered. Candidates must have at least three years of paid work experience in the welding field within the past seven years and demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to teach welding program competencies.
Georgia Northwestern Technical College is also seeking candidates with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or additional college coursework related to welding technology or similar training programs.
The dual enrollment program allows high school students to earn college credit while gaining hands-on experience in career and technical education fields, including welding.
