Dade County Awarded Civic Experiment Grant Through THRIVE Regional Partnership
TRENTON, GA — Dade County has been selected as a recipient of the Civic Experiment grant program through THRIVE Regional Partnership and the Trust for Civic Life.
The program supports projects designed to strengthen community connections, encourage collaboration, and help communities work together to address local challenges throughout the greater Chattanooga region.
Officials say Dade County is grateful for the opportunity and looks forward to using the investment to benefit local residents and strengthen community engagement efforts.
“We are honored to have been selected as a recipient of the Civic Experiment grant,” county leaders said in a statement. “This program supports projects that strengthen community connection, encourage collaboration, and help communities work together to solve local challenges.”
The Civic Experiment grant program drew 85 applications from communities across 14 counties in the tri-state region. Eight projects were ultimately selected for funding.
Other recipients include the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission, IMPACT Learning Center in Scottsboro, Alabama, Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga, Miners Memorial Park in Whitwell, Tennessee, the City of Cleveland, Tennessee, Sequatchie County Chamber’s Thrive Sequatchie initiative in Dunlap, Tennessee, and the South Pittsburg Rotary Foundation in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
THRIVE Regional Partnership said the selected projects are focused on creating stronger community connections, collaboration, and local problem-solving efforts across the region.
County officials also thanked THRIVE Regional Partnership for supporting communities throughout the greater Chattanooga area and for recognizing the importance of local engagement and partnership initiatives.
