President Trump Visits Rome, Endorses Clay Fuller as Advance Voting Continues

ROME, Ga. — As advance voting continues — including the next two Saturdays — in the special election for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District and State Senate District 53, President Donald Trump visited Rome on Thursday and publicly endorsed Clay Fuller and Lt Governor Bert Jones.

Fuller, the former District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, is one of the candidates seeking to fill the 14th District seat. The position became vacant earlier this year. Lt Governor Bert Jones is launching a bid for Georgia Governor.

President Trump reaffirmed his endorsement of Fuller while campaigning in Rome, where he focused heavily on his economic agenda. During remarks delivered at Coosa Steel Corporation, Trump discussed issues related to jobs, business growth, and the broader national economy.

Fuller joined the president during portions of the visit, which included stops at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport, The Varsity in Rome, and the steel plant where the event was held.

The visit comes as voters across the district are casting ballots early. Advance voting is underway on weekdays, with additional Saturday voting scheduled over the next two weekends. Election Day for the special election is set for March 10.

Voters can verify registration status and polling information through the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page online.
