A Flat Rock man was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Jackson County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
ALEA identified the victim as 57-year-old Kenneth D. Evans. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said Evans was driving a Ford Fiesta when the vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree at approximately 1:50 p.m. Saturday.
The crash occurred on Jackson County Road 95 near the intersection of Jackson County Road 295, about two miles south of the Higdon community.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
