Trenton-Dade Animal Center Breaks Ground
TRENTON, Ga. — December 16 marked a proud milestone for Dade County as community leaders, partners, and residents gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the Trenton-Dade Animal Center, a long-anticipated project that will significantly enhance animal care and services across the county.
The event brought together elected officials, county staff, volunteers, animal advocates, and community members, all united in support of a facility designed to provide improved resources, safer housing, and better outcomes for animals in need.
County officials said the new animal center represents more than just a building — it reflects a shared commitment to compassion, responsibility, and progress. Once completed, the facility will offer upgraded infrastructure and expanded capabilities to better serve both animals and the community.
Speakers at the ceremony thanked everyone involved in bringing the project to fruition, noting that the groundbreaking was the result of years of planning, collaboration, and dedication. From local leadership to volunteers and supporters, organizers emphasized that the project would not have been possible without widespread community backing.
The Trenton-Dade Animal Center is expected to provide brighter futures for countless animals while strengthening Dade County’s ability to deliver humane, effective animal care services.
As construction moves forward, county leaders say the project stands as a symbol of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose — building something special for Dade County and its four-legged residents
