Former Dade County Coach Shane Cauthorn Named Head Football Coach at Ridgeland
Walker County, Ga. — Ridgeland High School has announced the hiring of Shane Cauthorn as the next head football coach for the Panthers.
Cauthorn brings a strong background of regional coaching experience to Ridgeland. He previously served as an assistant coach at Dade County, LaFayette, and Gordon Lee, working with student-athletes at the high school level across multiple programs. Most recently, Cauthorn spent the past season coaching at Saddle Ridge Middle School, where he focused on player development and fundamentals.
School officials say Cauthorn’s experience at both the middle school and high school levels will be a key asset for the Panthers, helping create continuity as student-athletes transition into the high school football program.
Cauthorn will officially take over the Ridgeland Panthers football program ahead of the upcoming season, as preparations begin for the next chapter of Panthers football.
