Dade County deputies made a series of arrests over the weekend following several enforcement operations that led to the seizure of drugs, a firearm, and multiple DUI charges. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies recovered approximately 65 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of fentanyl, and a gun while continuing routine patrols and responding to calls for service.

Their efforts resulted in eight felony drug arrests and two DUI arrests, marking a busy and productive weekend for the department as deputies worked to keep impaired drivers and illegal drugs off county roads.

Sheriff Ray Cross credited the deputies for their dedication and highlighted the essential role of Deputy K9 Zeus during the operations. “Just another example of our deputies out keeping our community safe. While we know they will never be able to eradicate all drugs and drunk drivers in our community, it’s clear that they are still willing to give it their all to try! A huge shout-out to our Deputies for a job well done! Especially a huge shout-out to Deputy K9 Zeus, who is an intricate part of our mission to stamp out dope!” he said.

The sheriff’s office emphasized that deputies remain committed to their oath to protect Dade County and continue their efforts daily.
