A coordinated law enforcement effort across DeKalb County led to 22 arrests on Thursday, June 26, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

The operation, referred to as a “saturation,” involved deputies from multiple units, including the Sheriff’s Reserves, Jail Transport Division, and the Narcotics and Criminal Interdiction Unit. Officers targeted areas across the county in a proactive effort to identify and address criminal activity.

“In performing saturations, we look for a variety of things, including individuals who may be impaired by drugs or alcohol, traffic violations, or individuals with outstanding warrants,” said Sheriff Nick Welden. “Our main goal is making the roadways safer, which is less for you to worry about when you are out and about.”

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and reduce crime throughout the county.
