Sabrina Angela “Angie” Nelson, age 68, of Bryant, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Born on February 28, 1957, Angie was the daughter of the late Milton “Edgie” and Margaret Gray Dotson. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Angie lived a life marked by love and quiet strength. She worked for many years as a surgical technician at Erlanger Hospital, where she made a lasting impact on both patients and coworkers.
When her health allowed, Angie found great joy in tending to her flowers and keeping a clean, welcoming home. However, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband, Arnold Nelson; her son, Steven Hayes; grandchildren, P.J. (Satori) Hayes, Angela Hayes, Forrest Derryberry, Courtney Sims, Asher Derryberry, Keegan Nelson, and Keely Nelson; great-granddaughter, Addison Hayes; sisters, Diane White, Rhonda Holland, Denise Johnson, and Alicia Simpson; and her brother, Daniel Edward Mooney.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 PM until the service hour. Following the service, Angie will be laid to rest at Hawkins Cemetery.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
