The best 300-meter hurdlers in Region 1A-7 put on a show this week, with standout performances by local athletes Cash Christiansen and Jace Anderson.
Sophomore Cash Christiansen earned a personal record and a 2nd place finish in the 300-meter hurdles, while also placing 5th in the high jump. Christiansen contributed a blazing 52-second split in the 4×400 relay, helping the team place 3rd and set a new school record.
Senior Jace Anderson claimed his second consecutive regional title in the 300-meter hurdles and added a runner-up finish in the 110-meter hurdles, where he broke the school record with a time of 15.48 seconds. Anderson also anchored the 4×400 relay, powering from 4th to 3rd place in the final 100 meters to secure the podium finish and a new school-best time.
The athletes now look ahead to state competition, carrying momentum from a record-breaking regional meet.
