Dade County High School Lady Wolverines Secure Super Regional Victory and Advance to State Tournament

Dade County High School had the honor of hosting the GHSA Super Regional (Position B), featuring four prominent teams. Dade County earned the privilege of hosting this event after their performance in Region 7A-D1, where they triumphed over all five of their opponents. The Lady Wolverines concluded their regular season with a flawless 10-0 record in conference play. The four teams participating in Position B of this Super Regional were Dade County, Commerce High School, Jasper County High School, and St. Francis High School.

In the Super Regional held on October 18th, the Lady Wolverines squared off against the St. Francis Knights and secured a convincing victory with a score of 6-1. Later in the same afternoon, Dade County faced off against Commerce High School, who had previously defeated the Jasper County Hurricanes. The Lady Wolverines maintained their impressive form and emerged victorious in this matchup as well, with a final score of 6-1.

On the following Thursday, Jasper County competed against St. Francis, with Jasper County coming out on top. This victory set them up for a match against the Lady Wolverines later that afternoon. In a dominating performance, Dade County prevailed with a final score of 7-2.

Following their exceptional performance, the Dade County High School Lady Wolverines have earned the opportunity to represent their school and community at the state tournament in Columbus, Georgia, which is scheduled to take place from October 25th to 28th.
