After deciding not to run for an additional term and retire from the Senate; this week, Senator Jeff Mullis has officially announced his support for Steven Henry to be the next Senator representing District 53 – including Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Chattooga, and parts of Floyd County. Senator Mullis released the following statement of support for Henry:
I have seen first-hand how dedicated Steven Henry is to serving the public. His record as Chairman of the Catoosa County Board of Commissioners is impeccable. His policies led to economic growth, a growing population, and a community that is prospering. He is pro-life, pro-gun, pro-law enforcement, will protect our civil liberties, and will protect the rights of parents and students in our classrooms. He is a man that takes his faith seriously and demonstrates his conservative principles on a daily basis. He not only talks the talk, but he absolutely walks the walk.
Northwest Georgia needs a fighter to represent us at the Capitol and Steven Henry is the man for the job. He has shown he can fight and win for his constituents before and I know he can do that for all of the 53rd District. I ask that you all vote for Steven M. Henry for State Senator from the 53rd District.
