Dade County School Board to Work With Trenton Telephone Company to Apply for ARPA Grant

The Dade County School Board met Monday, September 27th for their scheduled Monday meeting.

According to Superintendent Josh Ingle, the Dade County School System will be partnering with the Trenton Telephone Company in applying for an ARPA grant to expand broadband internet connectivity to rural areas.

Elementary School student Benjaman Lind was recognized in regards to the character word “commitment.” Lind was attending Dr. Jeff Scott’s class when Dr. Scott played an 11-minute video honoring American heroes and their stories. Lind stood at attention during the entire presentation of the video. He led the Pledge of Allegiance and was presented with the Superintendent Pin of Excellence.

Ms. Edna Moore was honored for over 40 years worth of loyalty with the Dade County School System. Ms. Edna had worked in the cafeteria and has been a bus driver; but retired this year. Her absence will be felt throughout the school year.

The School Board meeting has been set for the 2nd Monday in November and 1st Monday in December, pending approval.
