The Atlanta Braves are back at Truist Park Monday night as they open a three-game National League East series against the New York Mets.
Atlanta enters the series with a 71-47 overall record and will look to take advantage of another stretch at home, where the Braves have put together an impressive 39-20 record this season. New York comes into Monday night’s series opener at 52-67 overall and 27-33 away from home.
With the regular season moving deeper into August, every game becomes increasingly important for the Braves as they look to continue building momentum and strengthen their position heading into the final weeks of the season. Monday begins another opportunity to do just that against a familiar division opponent.
The Mets will be looking to play spoiler during the three-game visit to Atlanta, while the Braves will try to continue their strong play at Truist Park and get the series started with a victory Monday night.
Game one of the three-game set is scheduled for a 7:15 p.m. first pitch.
