Classic Rock magazine has just compiled a new list ranking the "50 Greatest Guns N' Roses Songs." Topping the list was a pair of Appetite For Destruction classics with "Welcome To The Jungle" sitting at Number One and "Sweet Child O' Mine" at Number Two.
The "Three spot" is held down by "Estranged" from Use Your Illusion II, with Number Four being the Use Your Illusion I favorite "November Rain." The Top Five is rounded out by Appetite's "Rocket Queen."
It should be noted that no songs from the band's 1993 "The Spaghetti Incident?" nor its 2022 EP Hard Skool made it to the list's Top 25.
Slash told us a while back why he thinks the band struck a chord when they emerged in 1987 with their debut album Appetite For Destruction: ["We were the only band that was doing what it was that we were doing, with the attitude that we had. People were starved for it, because, I mean, other than us, there was Simple Minds and Motley Crue. I mean, y'know, (laughs) Cyndi Lauper, y'know? I mean, that's what was going on then.
