The Kinks Announce ‘The Journey – Part 2’

The Kinks continue their 60th anniversary celebrations with Part 2 of their career-defining anthology, The Journey.

It features hits like “You Really Got Me,” “Waterloo Sunset,” and “Lola.” The collection, which was compiled by the band, will be available on CD, LP, Digital and HD Digital formats. And will include a booklet with band photos and track-by-track notes written by original members Ray Davies, Dave Davie, and Mick Avory.

It also includes B-sides, album tracks, and six new Ray Davies mixes. Three of which are previously unreleased live performances from a 1975 concert in London.

Ray Davies commented about the set and said: “I thought I knew everything about my songs until I was given the opportunity to put this record together. The new sequencing has enabled us to show the ‘big picture’ and give a more insightful back story about how our music evolved. I learned a lot about myself in putting this together.”

The Journey – Part 1 came out in March, Part 2 will be out November 17th.
