Sammy Hagar & The Circle are returning to Las Vegas for another string of dates at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod. Blabbermouth reported following last fall's sold-out run, the "Red Rocker" will now play on February 9th, February 11th, February 12th, March 23rd, March 25th and March 26th. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. PST on Wednesday, January 12th.

Along with Hagar and Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, the Circle is rounded out by guitarist Vic Johnson, and the great Jason Bonham, son of late-Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham.

Sammy Hagar said in the official announcement:

I'm thrilled to be returning to The STRAT for my Las Vegas residency. We have created the ultimate concert party in a theater that captures the beach vibes of my annual birthday parties in Cabo San Lucas with a new show every night. It's a blast and I can't wait to continue with my bandmates, special guests and Redheads in 2022.

Last fall, before the Circle's first Vegas run at The STRAT, Sammy Hagar shed light on what fans can expect from the band, saying, "The Circle has the best set list in the world. . . it’s a mosh-up. We’ll start with six, seven Van Halen songs, a couple of Montrose tracks, Led Zeppelin songs, six Circle songs. We’ll mix it up pretty good."

Although Michael Anthony is as well-regarded among fans for his singing as his bass playing, he told us that he's not interested in singing lead vocals on his own: ["I can sing, but I consider myself a bass player. I'm, y'know, a musician first. If the opportunity came up for, y'know, maybe a one-off gig to do something like that, I might do it, but I like to play bass, y'know? I'll sing backgrounds, but a lead singer, y'know, you've got to have that mentality and personality. I'd rather be the bass guy."] SOUNDCUE (:16 OC: . . . the bass guy)
