    Central and northern Alabama, Extreme northwest and west central Georgia
    EFFECTIVE
    This Monday afternoon and evening from 400 PM until 1000 PM CDT.
    THREATS
    Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible, Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible, A tornado or two possible
    SITUATION
    Clusters of storms will spread eastward from Mississippi into Alabama through late evening, and eventually reach northwest Georgia. Storm mode will be complicated with a mix of clusters and some embedded supercells with attendant threats of occasional wind damage, large hail, and a tornado or two. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles north and south of a line from 55 miles southwest of Muscle Shoals AL to 45 miles east northeast of Anniston AL.     PRECAUTIONS
    A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.

  • Set for release on DVD/Blu-ray and CD/vinyl on November 20th is Music, Money, Madness . . . Jimi Hendrix In Maui. The film chronicles the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s legendary visit to Maui and "how they became ensnared with the ill-fated Rainbow Bridge movie produced by their controversial manager Michael Jeffery."
  • The announcement states the Blu-ray edition will include the full documentary as well as bonus features featuring all of the existing 16mm color film shot of the two performances on July 30th, 1970 — mixed in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound by longtime Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer, and mastered by Bernie Grundman.   • Out today (September 11th) is the Stray Cats' new live album culled from their 2019 40th anniversary reunion tour.
