BRIAN MAY TO MAKE ACTING DEBUT: Queen guitarist Brian May will make his acting debut this week, guest starring in an episode of the British children’s show, Andy And The Band. NME reports that May will star as the Godfather of Rock in an episode about what happens to kids when they lose their confidence. He will perform alongside The Odd Socks for the single “Planet Rock”, scheduled for release on February 18th.
ABBA REACHES SETTLEMENT WITH COVER BAND: ABBA has reached a settlement with the tribute band Abba Mania. Billboard reports that the British cover band, who describes themselves as “the world’s most successful touring Abba Show” has agreed to change their name. Attorneys for ABBA filed a lawsuit on December 3rd, arguing that Abba Mania was intentionally trying to fool fans into believing they were endorsed by the real group.
