Motley Crue & Def Leppard Roll Out 2023 International Dates

Fresh off their North American "Stadium Tour," Motley Crue and Def Leppard are paring off next years a set for a 28-date South American and European trek dubbed the "World Tour." The news comes on the heels of the massive success of 2022's North America's "Stadium Tour" with under-bill performers Poison and Joan Jett & The Heartbreakers, which grossed over $173 million during its 36-date run.

The new tour, which kicks off in February and wraps in July, will take in stops in Mexico, Columbia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, England, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Ireland.

Motley Crue issued a joint statement, which reads:

We had an incredible time playing 'The Stadium Tour' in North America this summer and we truly can't wait to take the show around the globe with 'The World Tour' in 2023. Crueheads in Latin America and Europe: Get ready! We're coming for you next and can't wait to finally see all of you out there again next year!

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott added:

After finally getting back on the road and having a monumental summer tour in the U.S. and Canada this year, we’re beyond thrilled to be bringing this massive stadium tour to major cities all over the world, and kicking off Europe in Sheffield where it all started for us 45 years ago. We're looking to forward to seeing you out there, somewhere soon!

Nikki Sixx told us that Motley Crue always has one goal whenever it goes onstage: ["If we're the greatest we can be, that's exciting, and that's what I believe that Mick (Mars) and Tommy (Lee) and Vince (Neil) all want too. They want to be the greatest rock band that Motley Crue can be. That's why we always try to come up with new, twisted versions of our production, and I think our shows are so potent and, I think, contagious. It's fun and it's horrifying all at the same time."] SOUNDCUE (:23 OC: . . . the same time)

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen told us he and his bandmates always look forward to playing their hits out on the road: ["Every night when someone's singing along — especially when there's a lot of young kids there, 16-year-olds and that — it is fresh, actually makes you feel really good when there's a whole new breed of people just singing away to songs that you've done. It doesn't really matter whether it's a new song or an old song, it's still our song, so it's a huge compliment. It really is, it's the best thing in the world."] SOUNDCUE (:17 OC: . . . in the world)
