Ronnie Spector had revised her 1990 memoir Be My Baby: How I Survived Mascara, Miniskirts, And Madness, in the weeks before her death. The Ronettes' singer died on January 12th at the age of 78. The new edition, which includes a new postscript by Spector and a forward by Spector's close friend and collaborator Keith Richards, will be published on May 3rd.
Publisher Henry Holt’s editor-in-chief, Sarah Crichton told Rolling Stone: "He offered this totally delightful introduction, it’s so Keith Richards. They shared a dentist, lived just down the road from one another (in Connecticut). They’d been playing music together and hanging for all these years, and he could not have been more generous."
