Journey and Toto kicked off their tour this week in Pittsburgh with Journey playing a 19-song set and most of them were their biggest hits.
Taking the stage was Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, and Arnel Pineda. New recruits joining them included keyboardist and singer Jason Derlatka, he’s well known as a composer for film and television, including the soundtrack for House.
On drums, once member of Bad English, Deen Castronovo. And bassist Todd Jenson. Jenson has played with artists such as David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper, and Ozzy Osbourne.
As for Toto, they opened for Journey and played a 10-song set. Guitarist Steve Lukather noted that the band hadn't played live in nearly two and a half years. They closed out their setlist with “Rosanna” and “Africa.”
Journey and Toto's 2022 Freedom Tour runs through May 16.
