Graham Nash Drops New ‘Vote’ Single

Graham Nash has released a new track and video, titled "Vote," in the lead-up to the November 3rd presidential election. The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer told Rolling Stone, "I wanted to make sure that people understood that there were many people hitting rock bottom. And because this new Covid relief bill hasn’t been signed yet, there are people that are going to be made homeless, who will starve and won’t have enough money for rent and meds. It’s crazy."

Nash, who's been and election-watcher for decades went on to explain, "I realized that basically all the weapons that the United States people have, have been taken away. I mean, in Texas — one (ballot drop-off) box for an entire county! It’s totally insane. And what they’ve done to the Post Office. They are trying to steal this election by voter suppression. . .  I think what’s keeping me awake is my hope that American people will utilize the vote and bring (Joe) Biden and Kamala (Harris) into power."

Graham Nash is never one to pull punches in regards to politics and social injustices. In a recent interview with Amsterdam's 2 Meter Sessions, Nash had some choice words for how Donald Trump has used his power as the leader of the free world: ["The Trump administration is taking people out of themselves and hating people that are a different color, or a different religion, or just different than them, y'know? And he has given voice to all the white nationalists; and I've noticed as I've been traveling around the world for the last two or three years, the incredible rise of the right wing and the white nationalists. And it's a very dangerous time. It's particularly dangerous in the United States because the very democracy is in peril."] SOUNDCUE (:27 OC: . . . is in peril)

Nash, who was born and raised in Britain, became an American citizen in 1978. He went on to explain why he thinks the Republican party has chosen to back Trump and his policies — despite what he believes are their obviously destructive nature: ["What's happening now is the republicans are clinging on to Donald Trump — even though they know that he does awful things, but he is getting their agenda through, so they will put up with him whilst he's getting what they want done. It's not very 'United' right now. There's a division in the people that hate and people that love and Donald Trump has made a line right down the middle and separated everybody — and that's how demagogues rule. It's a very dangerous time for ordinary people."] SOUNDCUE (:33 OC: . . . for ordinary people)
