Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl continues to speak out to support music venues. In October the band played an acoustic set in support of the Save Our Stages Act. Now Grohl is grateful that the $900 billion stimulus bill that was signed into law on Sunday evening includes funding for independent music venues that have been closed throughout the pandemic.

He took to social media and wrote: “A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the Save Our Stages Act, which passed yesterday as a part of the economic stimulus bill.”

The bill includes $15 billion in dedicated funding for live venues, independent movie theaters, and cultural institutions.
