When Foo Fighters played a concert in Abu Dhabi last weekend, they were under strict orders not to curse on stage, or they could go to jail.
Frontman Dave Grohl, who uses the F-word frequently had to have a cue card to remind him. So, in big, bold letters, taped to his microphone stand were the words… DO NOT CURSE, DO NOT CURSE

Grohl held it up to show the crowd, and told them that he thought it was “the first time ever” he’d made it through a live set without swearing. He also joked that the band’s late drummer Taylor Hawkins “would have loved this”.

In Abu Dhabi, using the F-word is considered a crime, punishable by up to a year in prison.
