Chris Cornell Portraits Sold As NFTs

Images from Chris Cornell’s last photoshoot will be auctioned off today (August 5th) as a pair of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Photographer Randall Slavin took the portraits just before the Soundgarden frontman’s death in 2017.  He never published the photos and is now turning them into NFTs with the permission of Cornell’s widow, Vicky.

Vicky Cornell said in a statement to Rolling Stone, “Randall is like family. I’m so grateful that Chris’s last photoshoot was captured by not only an amazing photographer but a true friend. Phoenix House continues to do such crucial work especially during these times.”

Profits of the auction will be donated to the Phoenix House, a non-profit drug and alcohol rehab organization that Chris supported in the past.
