Bryan Adams is back with the first single and title track to his upcoming album, So Happy It Hurts. The new collection is set to drop on March 11th, 2022 and marks the Canadian rocker's followup to 2019's Shine A Light album. Adams has also rolled out a 20-date tour of UK and Ireland for the spring.

Adams said in press release for the upcoming album:

The pandemic and lockdown really brought home the truth that spontaneity can be taken away. Suddenly all touring stopped, no one could jump in the car and go. The title song ‘So Happy It Hurts’ is about freedom, autonomy, spontaneity and the thrill of the open road.

The album of the same name touches on many of the ephemeral things in life that are really the secret to happiness and, most importantly, human connection.

Bryan Adams admitted to us that his one rule in creating music — whether it was the classics he wrote back in the 1980's or today — is simply to please himself with his work: ["The reason I started writing was because I enjoyed the creative process of creating something from nothing. I worked with some superb people over the years, and always the mission was to try and create something that we like. The idea of trying to appeal to somebody else is impossible. You gotta write music for yourself."] SOUNDCUE (:15 OC: . . . music for yourself)

Bryan Adams will perform at the Encore Theatre at Wynn Las Vegas on November 10th, 12th, 13th, 17th, 19th and 20th. The shows will mark Adams only North American shows for 2021.
