Ann Wilson will release a new original song next week called, “Tender Heart.” She made the announcement via Twitter and has offered fans an opportunity to sign up to hear the music earlier than its January 22 release.
After touring and playing some of the world’s biggest stages with Heart, she’s eager to revisit the bluesy ground that gave rise to her stardom. She credits Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin with supplying a lot of that inspiration.
Her last release was in October, a cover of “The Revolution Starts Now.” That song was originally recorded by Steve Earle and first appeared as the title track of his Grammy-nominated 2004 album.
