We asked Steven Tyler if there was a tried a trusted way to know when you've written a hit song: ["Uh, when you're. . . at night when you're going to bathroom and you can't get it out of your mind. All night when go up to get into the bathroom, you're singin' the chorus. You go: 'Okay, we've got a winner here!' Remember, they all start with thumbnail sketches, a little nothing — (sings) 'Janey Got A Gun.' Why the hell does Janey have a gun? Why would she a have a gun? Who's Janey?! And on and on and on. So, it's a crazy, beautiful. . . I love the process."] SOUNDCUE (:22 OC: . . . love the process)
