Janet Letitia Stephens, lovingly known as Tish, passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2024 at her home on Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, GA, at the age of 52. Tish was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her beloved husband of thirty-three years, Brad Stephens; her children, Lebron and Letrece Stephens; her grandmother, Evelyn Joyce Harmon, and she embraced the joy of being a grandmother to her grandchildren: Isaiah and Taylin Hodge, Kensley and Laken Stephens, Avery and Slade Smith.
Tish was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Patricia Carter, as well as her grandparents, Harold Freeman Harmon and Rob and Frances Floyd.
The wonderful memories created by Tish will serve as a lasting testament to her unwavering love and commitment to her family. She had a large extended family with whom she enjoyed many vacations and cherished gatherings. Tish's legacy of kindness, laughter, and devotion will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a member of Slygo Holiness Church.
To honor Tish's life, a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, at 1:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Donnie Walker officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the service hour.
Shane Pace, Cody Pace, Caleb Pace, Chris Veal, Kerry Joe Phillips, and Ben Theune will serve as pallbearers.
