Susan was born on February 25, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Ronald G. & Lucille H. Straub and graduated from Anderson High School in 1958. She aspired to create a life that allowed her to stay at home and raise her children, a dream she proudly achieved. Susan loved the beach, Florida vacations, and was an avid county music fan. At Signature Healthcare of Clarksville, she served the community as Elder Council President, and volunteered on the Welcome Wagon Committee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Wallin, brother, Ronald Harris Straub, and three husbands.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Marotta, and son, Michael Jackson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Reese Fauscett officiating. Expression of sympathy may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
