Sonia Ayers Hunt, 97, of Wildwood, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Born on January 22, 1928, she was a devoted mother and grandmother to many. Following her retirement from Royal Desoto, she worked with her brother at Brock’s Restaurant and was known for her kindness and generous heart. Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy Weaver Brock & Herschel Ayers, great-grandson, Anthony Hunt, and brothers, J.C. Ayers, Bill Brock, Gary Brock, Doug Brock, & Franklin Brock.
Survivors include her children, Mike Hunt, Tommy Hunt, Debbie (Ted) Smith, & Janice Hunt; grandchildren, Kristy & Greg Burns, Shawn Smith, Jeff & Cathy Hunt, Andy Hunt, Tony & Janet Hunt; Aaron & Elder Hunt, Justin Hunt, Julian Hunt, Jackson Hunt, Spencer & Michael Burns, Kirby & Casey Burns, Taylor & Julia Smith, Kaitlin & Kevin McAdams, Tucker & Kadence Smith, Mattie & Adian Hunt, Charlie & Mary Hunt, Katie Hunt, Marley Hunt, Ollie Welborn, Olson & Sunny Smith, Elle & Tenlee McAdams, Cora Smith, & Baby Willow Burns who is due in July; sister-in-law, Carol Brock; many nieces & nephews and special friend, Ell Smith. A special thanks is extended to NHC-Chattanooga and Hearth Hospice for their love & kindness.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Conner officiating.
