With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our beloved wife and Mama, Sandra Lee Edwards, born on December 12, 1955, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was the heart of our family, always filling our lives with love, warmth, and kindness.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel Cody & Louie Stevens, and sister, June Forester. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tony Edwards; children, Pepi (Phillip) Gilbert & Chris (Trevor) Edwards; grandchildren, Kurt Gilbert & KaLee Gilbert; sister, Peggy Brannen; brothers, Johnny (Linda) Forester & Eddie (Susan) Stevens; many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.
Sandra loved nothing more than spending time with her family, making every moment special with her kind heart & gently soul. She found peace by the ocean, where the waves and salty breeze reminded her of God’s presence. Her faith was unshakable, guiding her through life with grace and strength. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing she is resting in the arms of the Lord. Her love will forever be with us, like footprints in the sand that never fade.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21st at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Darren Rogers of Canaanland Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park, Bryant, AL. Buddy Stephens, Lebron Spears, Cash Turner, Kurt Gilbert, Phillip Gilbert, & Keith McKaig will serve as pallbearers.
