Roy was a native and lifelong resident of Hooker, was of the Church of God faith and was a member of New Haven Fellowship in LaFayette, GA. He retired from John’s Railroad Salvage in Chattanooga and then operated a fruit stand and lawn mower repair shop on Highway 299. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Stephens, parents, William Paul & Doris Catherine Pettyjohn Stephens, and siblings, Butch, Ronnie, Larry, & Joan Stephens.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Stacy Stephens & Christye (Thomas) Walker, all of Flat Rock, AL; grandchildren, Anthony Douglas, Levi Stephens, & Baylee Bunn; great-grandchildren, Luke Douglas, Zoie Stephens, Layla Stephens, & Millie Douglas; several nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Sexton officiating. Roy will be laid to rest at Hooker Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
