October 6, 1966 - September 5, 2024
Rex Harrison, 57, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Leesburg, AL, where he resided for the past year. Rex was originally from Lenoir City, TN and moved to Hooker, GA where he resided for over fifty years. Thirty-six of those years were with his wife, Khrischell, and well-loved Boxers, Sasha, Harli, Bailey, & currently, Chan.
Rex loved the outdoors and for many years had a love of fishing, camping, & sitting by a nice fire. He had a heart of gold and was always putting others before himself and doing things for them. His biggest dream was to get to reside on the lake, where he recently put his heart, soul, & mind into building our small, but beautiful home. He was a painting contractor for over thirty years and was self-employed for many of those years. Due to various health issues, he was forced into an early retirement where he continued to stay involved in his community in various ways of volunteering his time.
He is survived by his wife, Khrischell of 37 years; his furry side-kick, Charming Chandler; mother and father-in-law, Glenda (Rayburn) Massengale of Trenton; sister and brother-in-law, Lyneisa (Randy) Dotson of Gadsden, AL; a 90 year old close uncle, Bob Helton of Lenoir City, TN; a close cousin who was like a brother to him, Kent Wade of Lenoir City, TN; two lovely aunts, Virginia Dillon of Cleveland, TN, & Janie (Calvin) Hines of Maryville, TN and their families; sisters, Betty (Ricky) Mundy of Trenton, GA, Trudy Forshee of Whiteside, TN, Linda (Larry) York of Rising Fawn, & Marilyn (Butch) Wallin of Rising Fawn, GA; a host of close family & friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randy Tinker, Pastor Michael Kilgore & Debra Forshee officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 7th from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
