Rev. Dolas David Bain age 102 of Trenton, GA left this earth for his heavenly home on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Funeral services are Thursday at 11 AM ET at Rising Fawn Church of God with Rev. Ryan Bain, Rev. Phillip Bain and Pastor Chris Haigler officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM ET and Thursday from 10 AM until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Bank Head Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Honors Team.
Survivors include daughter, Veronica Baty, sons, Dale Bain(Dee), Ricky Bain(Miriam), grandchildren, Starla Graves(Joe), Patricia Harbin(Phillip), Monica Myers, Robin Shrader, Carla Dawson, Jackie Bain, Ryan Bain(Rebekah), Erica Godier(Joe), sister, Ruby Stalvey, 10 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bain was born in Mentone, AL to parents, Ed and Lula Sharp Bain. He served in the US Army as a Field Medic during WW II and was in Europe for D-day. He preached and pastored churches throughout Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, Illinois, and Kentucky for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Della Bain, son, Rev. Bob Bain, sisters, Naomia Potts, Annie Pearl Bain, brothers, Homer, J.R., Dewey, Emmett and Roy Bain, son-in-law, Edward Baty.
