April 27, 1926 - November 14, 2025
Pauline Estelle LeBlanc Biggerstaff, 99, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, where she had made her home for the past seven years.
Born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire, Pauline attended St. John the Baptist Elementary School and later Our Lady of Angels Boarding High School in St. Laurent, Montreal, Canada. Following graduation, she and her sister Connie proudly joined the Nurse Cadet Corps during World War II, where they trained to become registered nurses.
After completing her training and spending a few years working as an RN, Pauline and three close friends purchased a car, completed a Triple-A driving course, and set out on a cross-country adventure—an extraordinary journey for young women in the 1940s. Their travels eventually led them to Orange County, California. Within a few months, Pauline met Wilbur, who was serving in the military at the time, and from there their life together began.
The couple moved frequently during Wilbur’s Navy service before settling in northern Missouri, where they raised their eight children. Pauline devoted more than 25 years of service as a registered nurse at Cameron Community Hospital, where she was known for her skill, compassion, and gentle spirit. After retirement, she and Wilbur enjoyed many wonderful years together in Florida.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Seraphine LeBlanc; her husband, Wilbur Biggerstaff; siblings Maurice, Yvette, Sylvio, Raymond, and Constance; her son Monty Biggerstaff; grandson Joshua Biggerstaff; and son-in-law Ernie Dennis.
She is survived by her children: Michael of Ohio; Diane (C.S.) Burnett of Rossville, Georgia; John (Wendy) of Washington/Kansas; Teresa Dennis of Sebring, Florida; Jim (Julie) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Bill (Susie) of Naples, Florida; Joe (Christi) of Kidder, Missouri; and daughter-in-law Julie Biggerstaff of Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
A devout Catholic, Pauline made faith a central part of her family’s life and ensured her children were active in church and religious education. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was immeasurably proud of each of them.
Pauline will be remembered for her gentle voice, her kind heart, and the quiet strength with which she lived her long and beautiful life.
A Mass and memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
