Nolan Wayne Tims, Sr.
June 29, 1943 - January 25, 2024

Nolan Wayne Tims, Sr., 80, of Wildwood, GA, passed into his Heavenly home on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

He was born on June 29, 1943 in Chattanooga to the late Rufus N. & Mildred G. Tims. Before moving to Wildwood, he resided in Lookout Valley where he attended John A. Patten School, Lookout Valley Junior High, Chattanooga Central High, and then Kirkman Technical School. Wayne was a member of Wauhatchie Methodist Church and had been employed with Crane Enamel, boilermaker at Widows Creek, Haswell Trucking, P&P Produce, and Wayne Tims Trucking. He enjoyed horseback riding and showing at Racking Horse Shows where he won several trophies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Washington & Susie Bass; brothers-in-law, Bud Washington & Tony Bass; several aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 60 years, Judy Raines Tims; sons, N. Wayne Tims, Jr., & Dennis & “favorite” daughter-in-law, Amy Tims; grandchildren, Lauren (Cody) Brumbelow, Hannah (Deric) Skidmore, Isaac Millican, & Joshua Ibach; great-grandchildren, Layla Daniel, Tucker Brumbelow, Gracie Brumbelow, & Josie Skidmore; brother, Don Tims; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Messer officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to Wauhatchie Methodist Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
