Lynda Faye Stoner, 78, of Rossville, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at her residence. Lynda was born on July 2, 1946 to the late Rev. L.W. & Dawn Carter and was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Rossville High School and retired from Blood Assurance following 15 years of service. In addition to her parents, Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Ray “Dick” Stoner, son, Michael Shane Stoner, & brother, Clarence Carter, Jr.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Audrey (Joe) Murray of Lookout Mountain, GA, Betty Chastain of Chickamauga, and Phyllis Stoner of Rossville; brother-in-law, Tom (Andrea) Stoner of Rossville; several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church on Lookout Mountain with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at the church, located at 1130 Highway 157, Lookout Mountain, GA. Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
