Skip was born on October 31, 1972 in Chattanooga, TN and was a 1991 graduate of Gordon Lee High School. He received his B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communications from M.T.S.U. and was employed as a former press secretary in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He was also a former research analyst at-large at the Tennessee State Senate. Skip also received a degree from Georgia Northwestern in electronics and was an extremely gifted musician. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene & Janie Cauthorn, Jamie Murray, & Claude & Jessie Murray.
Survivors include his parents, Lonnie & Ginger Cauthorn of Chickamauga, GA; brother, Shane (Stephanie) Cauthorn, Rock Spring, GA; nephews, Payton & Drew Cauthorn; special friend, Nanette Mitchell.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Lookout Baptist Church, 8645 Highway 193, Flintstone, GA with Rev. Terry Burns officiating.
