Leonard Elmer “Paw” Casey, 79, of Trenton, GA, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 in a local health care facility.
Mr. Casey was born in 1944 to the late Horace Edward & Jewel Frances Wright Casey in Dade County, was a self-employed welder, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a sports enthusiast, loved music, and enjoyed fishing and all things outdoors.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Suzy Casey; children, Lisa Zabriskie, Linda (Sam) Higdon, & Leonard Casey, Jr; sisters, Joyce Vineyard, Daisy Hixon, Marylan Pickett, & Thelma Dykes; brother, Horace (Polly) Casey; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his faithful four-legged companion, Buddy.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with full military honors by American Legion Post #106. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
