Larry Lee Cooper, 76, of Rising Fawn, GA, passed away late Sunday evening, June 2, 2024 in a local health care facility.
Larry was a graduate of Dade County High School class of 1965 and a member of New Home Baptist Church. Following graduation, he served in the U.S Navy during Vietnam, then enlisted with the U.S. Army serving 22 years of dedicated service. He was also employed with the Dade County board of elections and as county clerk. Larry was a member of Masonic Lodge #179 F&AM and was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert & Elsie Williams Cooper, brother, Winston Cooper, and sister, Sue Tatum McMahan.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Janice Graham, Valley Head, AL; daughters, Pamela Cooper Greulich of Rising Fawn, GA, and Penny Cooper of Valley Head, AL; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Cooper will be held on Friday, June 7th at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Robert Goff officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
