Joyce Christine Shields, 84, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Mrs. Shields was born on June 4, 1940, in Bryant, Alabama. She was a devoted wife and mother. During her life, she worked at Brock Candy Company and Sather’s Candy Company.

Joyce was a Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Shields, parents, Buck Rile & Francis Smith, and siblings, Rilene Smith, Joe Edward Smith, Bob Smith, Bill Smith, Jimmy Smith, Jerry Smith, Terry Smith.

Survivors include her son Timothy Shields (Lori); grandchildren, Nick Shields (Samantha), Lance Shields, Zach Cockrell (Kelly); great-grandchildren, Charleigh & Thomas Shields, Peyton & Ella Cockrell; sister, Glenda Wood; several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Shields will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service on Saturday, March 22nd at 11:00 am in the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Trenton, GA.
