James Springfield, 84, of Trenton, GA, passed away early Sunday morning, January 26, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Springfield was a graduate of Kirkman High School, class of 1962, and was retired from Consolidated Latex of Chattanooga. Following his retirement, he then began employment with the Hamilton County Board of Education as a bus driver. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, James & Frances Springfield, sister, Helen Ann Clark, granddaughter, Ashley King, and son, Gregory James Hadden.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ruth Springfield; children, Sherry (Steve) King, Flat Rock, AL, Tina Williams, Wildwood, GA, & Becky (Bill) Metcalf, Trenton, GA; grandchildren, Tiffany (Shane) Hiett, Renae (Tommy Lee) Taylor, & Jennifer Williams; ten great-grandchildren, two nieces also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Trenton Baptist Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
