May 30, 1959 - September 29, 2024
Gregory Dale Daniels, of Lookout Mountain, Ga., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2024. He was 65. Mr. Daniels is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Daniels, of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; sons, Dale (Jennifer) Daniels of Red Bank, Tenn., and Heath (Valerie) Daniels of Rising Fawn, Ga.; grandchildren, Alleigh, Brody, Josie, and Harlynn Daniels; and step-grandchildren, Levi and Landon. He is also survived by his brother, Jeff (Brenda) Daniels of LaFayette, Ga.; and several nieces, nephew, and countless friends who cherished him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Howard Daniels and Shirley Faye Daniels.
Mr. Daniels was born on May 30, 1959, in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. He grew up with a love for cars and a knack for telling the best jokes. Whether he was working on a car, watching racing, or simply “cutting up” with those around him, he brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and serving the Lord Jesus Christ, a passion that was evident in all he did.
Mr. Daniels married the love of his life, Beverly E. Harris, and together they raised a wonderful family, always keeping Christ at the center of their home. Beverly faithfully and happily fulfilled her promise of a good wife until Greg’s last breath. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, and his legacy of faith, kindness, and humor will live on through his children and grandchildren.
Just as it is written in Matthew 25:23, Greg has now heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!… Come and share your master’s happiness!” and we know he is now rejoicing in the presence of his Savior.
Greg passed away peacefully on Sunday, with Beverly by his side. His gentle spirit left this world just as gently as he lived, waiting for his beloved wife to arrive before taking his final breath. The Lord knew Greg’s body was tired and his soul was ready to go home. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, kind words, and food from their friends and community during this time. Your support has been a tremendous blessing.
